A Successful Week ...

So much is happening regarding backyard hens that it is challenging to keep up with it all. But I will, because it is important and meaningful work. I will bullet-point a few of my current efforts:

• Emailed Councilwoman Sullivan and called her to thank her for her public support of backyard hens at the City Council meeting.

• Road bikes with Councilman Smith yesterday and discussed backyard hens. He is a supporter. He shared his personal email with me so I can continue to communicate directly with him.

• Passed out seven more fliers and had seven more positive backyard hen conversations.

• Spoke with Herb Benham on the phone regarding the topic of backyard hens.

• Numerous people have reached out to me through the website or by email to share their support for what we are trying to accomplish. Thank you all. We can do this together. Visit the website, take the survey, email/call our City Council members, print fliers from the web page and share with neighbors and friends that will support our backyard hen movement.

This process has been very rewarding to me: learning new processes, working collaboratively with people, supporting/mentoring others, and developing friendships.
