Email To All City Council Members - Keep Writing Them!

Here is an email that I sent to all City Council Members today. Keep writing them. Let them know that Bakersfield wants backyards hens.

"Dear Council Members,

I have appreciated spending time with you at the previous City Council meetings. Besides showing up in person to share about backyard hens, I have reached out to all of you through the city's website's email in hopes that we could discuss the topic of backyard hens in a less formal setting. I appreciate that three of you have taken me up on my offer. I am still asking for a short conversation with the remaining four. You may reach me at this email address, thebubh@gmail.com

Thank you. I promise our conversation will be brief, respectful, and open, so that I may better understand your position, questions and/or support on this matter.

I am writing to you today to share three short videos that we have put together to help you and the public understand what backyard hen ownership is about.

I am confident that if you take a moment to watch these short videos you will see that backyard hen ownership is a healthy and beneficial activity which our Bakersfield community (owners and neighbors) have already accepted as a reasonable practice.
