Emails are working (write one)...

I wrote my second email to Councilman Freeman on May 22nd. An Administrative Analyst 3 from the City Manager's Office responded today. Here is her response to my email and my reply to her. (See blog entry titled "This is what we need to be doing ..." to see the original email.

Her reply:

"Thank you for your message regarding chickens in residential zones within City limits. This issue will be brought back to the City Council for an informational workshop at a future Council meeting; the date of which is still to be determined. I will be sure to make Councilmember Weir aware of your message and your message will also be included in the record for the Council workshop agenda item."

My reply:

"Thank you for responding to my email. I appreciate it very much. The information you shared with me is very helpful. This email is intended to be addressed to Councilman Freeman. I live in Ward 5. Thank you for making sure he receives it and not Councilman Weir as you wrote in your email. As of yet, I have not written Councilman Weir regarding the important topic of Bakersfield Urban Backyard Hens. I just do not want Councilman Weir to think that I am one of his constituents as I stated in my email to Councilman Freeman. I plan on writing Councilman Weir later this week.

Thank you again for all the hard work you do to help the City of Bakersfield.
