Eric Arias, Ward 1, and Patty Gray, Ward 6, both responded to my email that I sent the other day to congratulate and welcome them to their new positions of City Council Members. I provide an email that they could reach me at.

Six days ago I posted a blog titled "Reach Out To Our New Council Members - Here Is How". You can find the entire post at thebubh.wixsite.com/bubh under the "blog" section.

"Members of the public wishing to provide messages of congratulations or encouragement to incoming or out going City Councilmembers are asked to provide those to the City be sending them to this email address: City_Council@bakersfieldcity.us . Those messages will be shared separately with the Councilmembers at a future date."

Once again, I encourage you to write an email to newly elected Council Members Arias and Gray that congratulates them, welcomes them, and informs them of your desire to have them support what their predecessor voted for, which is a strong support for the backyard hen ordinance.

Everyone should do this. Everyone should encourage friends, family, and neighbors to do this. If you have written before, please do so again.

Here is the email to contact them one more time. THIS IS IMPORTANT.

If you look up my previous post, I shared the actual email that I sent them. You may use it as a model if you like. I recommend emailing Councilman Arias and Councilwoman Gray separately. If you are in Ward 1 (Arias) or Ward 6 (Gray) be sure to include that in your email.

I cannot express enough how important it is to have their support as we move forward with the process, as well as, the delay of the frivolous lawsuit filed by unidentified individuals.

You need to be heard to make a difference. Be heard!

What we are asking for is reasonable and fair. Backyard hens enhance the quality of life experiences for families.
