I need you to cheer me up ...

Don't worry too much about me. I am OK. But, I did get a little sad this afternoon. I was in the backyard weeding a section of flowerbed that Bermuda grass had taken root in. Turns out it was next to my hen coop. My hens had to go about two years back after having them for two years when code enforcement showed up on my doorstep. Now that was a really sad (tearful) day for the family. The Bermuda grass grew under the rosemary and flowering sage plants. I was sad when I reminisced about how Lulu, S'more, Grain and Leggs loved to scratch and peck in and among that area. Do me a favor, write your City Council Member in support of allowing backyard hens. My web site makes it really easy with email links and sample drafted letters.
