We need you to help us finish this off so that we may legally own backyard hens.

Everyone should do the following (regardless if you plan to attend or not attend the upcoming City Council meeting).

Please call tonight or tomorrow with you comments of support for backyard hens. It only takes seconds. It is so easy to call and say, "I support backyard hens."

An alternative to attending and making an in person public statement, you may comment by calling (661) 326-3100 and leaving a voicemail of no more than 3 minutes no later than 4:00 p.m. the Tuesday, October 20th prior to the Council meeting. Your message must clearly indicate whether your comment relates to a particular agenda item, or is a general public comment. If your comment meets the foregoing criteria, it will be transcribed as accurately as possible.

Make sure you start your phone message by stating, "My comment is for an agenda item which is support for backyard hens." Also, your recorded message has to be under three minutes.

Do not put your phone call off. Call tonight or tomorrow. Your support is needed to help us finish off the great work that has been done with amending the City's ordinance to legalize backyard hen ownership for R-1 zones.
