Three Minutes of Fame ...

I ran across an old friend that I have not talked with for some time on my evening walk. He and his family use to have backyard chickens years ago. Part of our conversation was about hen ownership. He is a supporter of our current efforts and commented that he would like to get hens again someday. I shared with him that I am planning on attending the city council meeting this Wednesday, June 10th to speak to the city council regarding considering to change the ordinance to allow hen ownership for residents living in the R-1 zone. I'm working on my under three minute speech this weekend. I think I'll post it on the blog tomorrow for feedback.

My wife had a conversation at the grocery store, and I have an errand tomorrow to drop off another flier to a neighborhood resident who wants to get involved and support backyard hen ownership.
