Wednesday, September 23 at 5:15 is the City Council meeting where the first reading will be presented to the Council. It is important that you show up to make a public comment statement. We already have the majority votes. What is needed is a large presence of supporters, so it remains clear that the majority of Bakersfield citizens are in favor of backyard hens. If we show up and state our support we will make Bakersfield hen friendly. Make sure to arrive a little early to find parking and fill out the public comment card. You only have to write your name and topic on he card. Put "support backyard hens" for the topic.
